For all of her childhood Rebecca had (and continue to have this day) challenges with learning, socialising and experiencing life in a way that was typically expected of me. It’s not that she was necessarily deficient for the most part in those areas; it’s more rather that she do all of those things mentioned in her own individual way. Initially all of her challenges were diagnosed as a part of her severe anxiety disorder.

Today the current ratios (as there are many different ones from credible sources) of autism between males and females is growing ever more closer.    Females are statistically reported to be affected by autism less so than their male counterparts, even though it’s now becoming more widely believed that autism actually affects the those genders equally.

In the previous month’s blog Rebecca has discussed the current coronavirus situation, and how there’s much that is familiar to her about it, in terms of her Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Being fearful of her life getting threatened by exposing herself to public germs and diseases is something she has experienced very often throughout her lifetime.

Rebecca was diagnosed with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) at the age of 16 and have in truth had the condition since she was born. Memory recall is highly individual to everyone, and we all have unusual aspects of our own way of remembering things. Over tens of thousands of years human memory has essentially not changed. However the current availability of published media and social media has seemingly brought many new kinds of memory recall to the world.

Rebecca has been writing blogs for SpecialKids.Company for three years now.  Often by means of trial and error Rebecca has come up with some stronger additions to mindfulness exercises for moments of higher stress or anxiety. It may sound ironic that exercises which bring her anxiety down involve her doing work (relating to that of her career) itself.
